EPIC Symposium 2026

We're excited to announce that registration for the 2026 EPIC Symposium is now open. Following the numerous infectious outbreaks we've all be tracking this year — from hantavirus and Ebola to cyclosporiasis and measles — the theme for the symposium is "Outbreak readiness and response beyond borders."

We are delighted to share that Roger Paredes will be joining us from the IrsiCaixa AIDS Research Institute in Catalonia, Spain. Working closely with PRECISE, Paredes played an integral role in the Andes hantavirus response in Canada. He will share his experiences in international outbreak management through an enlightening keynote presentation. 

The symposium highlights innovative research, interdisciplinary collaboration and the perspectives needed to address today's most pressing global health challenges.

Registration is free for researchers, staff and trainees at the University of Toronto and EPIC partner hospitals, as well as public health professionals at government agencies including Toronto Public Health, Public Health Ontario and Public Health Agency of Canada.
