Several internal councils and committees provide governance and leadership for the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, as we fulfill our vision of international leadership in improving health through innovation in research and education. Each body advises on critical issues facing the Faculty, and provides guidance and direction for administrative actions aligned with the Faculty's Strategic Priorities.
Faculty of Medicine Faculty Council — The senior body in the Faculty with responsibility for academic affairs. Faculty Council's membership base includes representation from the student body, faculty members, Chairs, Deans, and administrative staff.
Hospital University Education Committee — Advisory to the Dean. Serves to enhance the partnership between the Faculty and its affiliated teaching hospitals.
Management Committees of the Dean
All Chairs Committee — Provides guidance and feedback on items relevant to all departments that are presented at meetings held five or six times during the academic year.
Basic Science and Rehab Chairs Committee — Provides guidance and feedback on items relevant to the basic science and rehab departments that are presented at meetings held monthly during the academic year.
Clinical Chairs Committee — Provides guidance and feedback on items relevant to the clinical departments that are presented at meetings held monthly during the academic year.
Rehabilitation Science Chairs Committee — Provides guidance and feedback on items relevant to the rehabilitation science departments that are presented at meetings held monthly during the academic year.
Temerty Medicine Finance Committee – Provides advice on financial matters and policies impacting the Faculty by ensuring that decisions are aligned with the Faculty’s mission and priorities.
