Mentor To Mentor (M2M)

Capacity Building for Principal Investigators

The Mentor 2 Mentor program (M2M) is a capacity-building initiative for Principal Investigators.

This workshop series is designed to build Principal Investigator comfort and fluency in pillars underpinning the advancement of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Indigeneity, and Accessibility (EDIIA) within research spaces.

Program Goals

  • Develop skills necessary to support learners underrepresented in science, technology, engineering, mathematics and medicine (STEMM)
  • Engage in the development of actionable strategies to create inclusive lab spaces

Who Should Participate?

Any principal investigator at Temerty Medicine who is engaged in providing mentorship within a research program wanting to embed equity and inclusion principles in their program of scholarship.

Preference is given to principal investigators currently participating in RASI.

Program Dates

Application period: November 1, 2025 – January 18, 2026

Program period: January – April 2026

Program Goals

  • Develop skills necessary to support learners underrepresented in STEMM
  • Engage in the development of actionable strategies to create inclusive lab spaces

Program Structure

  • 8 sessions
  • Choice of participation in live Zoom sessions or asynchronous recordings
  • 20-25 participants led by moderator
