SHNackathon

Type
Other

This Reading Week, Scarborough Health Network (SHN) is inviting creative, ambitious learners from across Ontario to join a fast‑paced, fully virtual sprint to reinvent how the next generation of clinicians learn.

Whether you’re a coder, designer, scientist, educator, or just a curious builder with a bold idea — this is your chance to shape the future of medical training alongside SHN’s research and education leaders.

We’re looking for new ideas. New tools. New ways of learning. And you.

Why participate?

You’ll build real solutions that matter.

Your project won’t live in a vacuum — SHN’s education and research teams are actively exploring new ways to teach, assess, and empower learners. Exceptional submissions may be invited for further development or research testing.

You’ll meet mentors and collaborators.

Throughout the Hackathon, participants will have access to SHN researchers, developers, educators, and clinicians during scheduled office‑hour blocks.

You’ll accelerate your path into SHN’s Summer of Vibes program.

Standout participants may be fast‑tracked for consideration into Summer of Vibes, SHN’s celebrated student research experience.

You’ll compete for top prizes.

Cash prizes and other recognitions will be awarded to the top three teams — plus bragging rights as the inaugural winners of our SHNackathon.
