PA Program COVID Update: ProctorU_Year 1 Students

March 20, 2020

Dear Physician Assistant students;

Given the evolving situation related to COVID-19, the Physician Assistant (PA) Program, in alignment with the Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto is updating the previous policy with regards to test taking for PA students.

· Year 1 - All remaining Semester 2 tests must be written with ProctorU.

· Year 1 - Semester 3 tests should also be booked on ProctorU until further notice.

· Students are responsible for the cost of the testing site as per previous policy.

This policy is being put into place by the University of Toronto in order to ensure the health and safety of the student population as well as ensuring test integrity. In order to do this there will be no in-person exams. The program recognizes the burden of added financial cost of using ProctorU as well as the anxiety of changing test taking strategies in the middle of a semester. We appreciate your patience and understanding as student safety is the primary reason for this change.
