Take a Pain Check Foundation is thrilled to invite you to Unity Through Rheumatic Diseases, an in-person event dedicated to promoting collaboration and driving change in rheumatology. Join us on Saturday, May 31, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST at the InterContinental Toronto Centre (225 Front St W, Toronto) for a day of insightful discussions, networking, and empowerment.
This free event will bring together youth, young adults, caregivers, healthcare professionals, patient advocacy groups, and researchers to explore the challenges of living with rheumatic diseases. Through rheumatologist panels, patient-led discussions, and a research and innovation showcase, attendees will gain practical strategies for managing chronic conditions, improving care for young adults, and strengthening patient-provider relationships. Healthcare professionals will gain firsthand insight into patient experiences and gaps in transitioning from pediatric to adult rheumatology. They will leave with a deeper understanding of patient needs and strategies to enhance care, communication, and support.
The event will feature diverse perspectives from young adults, adult patients, researchers, and physicians, promoting dialogue to improve healthcare outcomes. Interactive workshops will equip attendees with practical tools for managing rheumatic diseases and enhancing clinical practice.
