Research Day

Rehabilitation Sciences Institute (RSI) Research Day

ATTENTION: Step away from the lab!

Yes, there’s still research to analyze and papers to be published, but it’s time to celebrate what you have discovered, innovated, and achieved! Especially when it comes to the field of rehabilitation which has been declared the “Health Strategy of the 21st Century” (take the World Health Organization’s word for it).

So join us live and in-person for the highly anticipated return of the annual RSI Research Day, a student showcase like no other celebrating the recent milestones, accomplishments, success stories and research findings of the next generation of rehabilitation leaders at the University of Toronto!

Each year, the minds behind our research day committee selects a theme representing one of the many disciplines of rehabilitation sciences and this year is no exception. The 2023 theme is dedicated to Person-Oriented Care.

You will experience: a keynote address and panel discussion from field experts addressing timely topics such as:

  • patient advocacy
  • patient and caregiver inclusion with research
  • best engagement and dissemination practice

as well as highly competitive 2- and 3-minute presentations, poster viewing and judging of the latest rehab research, an awards ceremony to rival the Oscars (at least we like to think so) and so much more. Did we mention there’s free food?

Most importantly, RSI Research Day is a great opportunity to make new friends and real connections with fellow students, academics, leading researchers and scientists, all of which share one key goal in common – improving quality of life for all!

So, if you are invested in the future of health care, rehabilitation medicine and science as much as we are then we invite you to register so we can celebrate YOU.
