Movie Screening - Academy Award-nominated documentary, Winter on Fire: Ukraine’s Fight for Freedom
On April 19, director Evgeny Afineevsky brings his Academy Award-nominated documentary, Winter on Fire: Ukraine’s Fight for Freedom, to Innis College.
Ambassador of Ukraine to Canada Yulia Kovaliv will share welcoming remarks. Professor Lucan Way of the Department of Political Science and Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy will moderate the Q&A that follows.
This is a special fundraising event for The Innis College Ukrainian Community Scholars at Risk Award, which supports students coming to the University of Toronto from Ukraine. To reach our goal of $25,000, guests are asked to make a minimum $50 tax-creditable donation to the fund. All gifts will be matched by the University.
There are two ways to participate in this event: in-person (Innis Town Hall) or virtually (Vimeo). A $50 per person tax-creditable donation to the Scholars at Risk fund is required to confirm your in-person registration.
