GMCA: What's Consulting?

The Graduate Management Consulting Association (GMCA) is a student-run organization established in 2009 at the University of Toronto (U of T). We strive to support graduate and postdoctoral trainees interested in pursuing careers in consulting and related industries.

What’s Consulting? is a two-part panel series introducing graduate students to consulting. Held over two days, Part 1: The Journey to Consulting – features consultants from top consulting firms. Part 2: Pros of Pro-Bono Consulting – features representatives from pro-bono consulting firms.

Through these two events, attendees will learn how they can leverage their graduate school experience to transition into consulting, as well identify pro-bono consulting opportunities that can help them land the job.

What’s Consulting? Schedule:

Wednesday, September 14th, 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM ET

Part 1: The Journey to Consulting – learn firsthand from former graduate students on their experience transitioning into consulting.

Thursday, September 22nd, 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM ET

Part 2: Pros of Pro Bono Consulting – explore training initiatives and pro bono consulting opportunities to prepare for a career in consulting
