Eligibility Update - Toronto COVID-19 Action Initiative

Further to the Research Alert posted on Monday, this is to advise the U of T research community that the Toronto COVID-19 Action Initiative is now open to all full-time faculty at the University of Toronto and affiliated hospitals who are independently eligible to hold tri-agency funding.
The University of Toronto, with its affiliated hospitals, has created a Toronto COVID-19 Action Fund of $6,000,000. University Advancement is seeking contributions to increase the size of this fund. The goal of this Fund is to support research that renders near-term results (from one month to 12 months depending on the nature of the impact) with strong potential to positively impact individuals, communities and public health systems.
Awards of up to $500K will be awarded through an expedited peer review process to successful applications according to the following timelines:
Application Deadline: Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. EDT
Adjudication: by April 10, 2020
Notification of Results & Release of Funds: April 17, 2020
