Temerty Medicine Research Excellence Award

The Office of the Vice Dean, Research and Innovation is pleased to announce a new internal award for faculty at the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, the Temerty Medicine Research Excellence Award. Through a generous endowment from the Temerty family, this award will celebrate the innovative research and accomplishments of our faculty. Two prizes of $5,000 each will be awarded to successful applicants. In addition, the winning applicants will have their submission materials revised and submitted to an external award in the 12-month period following the award competition. The external award will be selected in consultation with the applicant and an awards review committee.

Deadline and Submission: To be considered for the award, applicants must complete the Temerty Faculty of Medicine Awards Dossier and submit it through this fillable form.
Deadline for 2022 session TBA.

  • Permanent entries for over 150 major national and international honour and award opportunities, with up-to-date confirmed or projected deadlines and nomination parameters
  • Browsing and searching capabilities available to any user with a UTORid
  • Filtering by keyword, discipline, career stage, and other parameters
  • Guidelines to U of T’s internal processes for awards that require institutional nominations
  • Information about previous U of T winners, where applicable
  • Contact information for award coordinators within our academic divisions

Deadlines are projected up to two years into the future, aiding planning for opportunities that occur biennially or for which deadlines have recently passed
